Some tall users struggle with certain benches, but this could be the best weight bench for tall people thanks to the 12” wide and 33.5” long backrest. The backrest was previously only 10” wide but Fitness Reality made some changes to make it wider. This clearly shows they listen to user feedback.

Since this is suitable for users up to 6ft 4”, can support up to a huge 800 lbs and can even fold away flat to save space, we have ranked this in our number one spot of the best weight bench under $100.

You would rarely see a weight bench that would be able to go in a decline position greater than -20°, however this bench can go into a -30° decline position! Not quite exactly like having a decline ab bench, but certainly not far off.

Surprisingly it’s very sturdy for such an inexpensive weight bench. The 300 lb maximum weight capacity is on the lower side when compared to the 600 lb limit of the Bowflex 5.1s Bench, but, the Marcy is less than a third of the price of the Bowflex!

    Possible deal breaker

This weight bench is too good to leave off this list, it doesn’t quality for under $100. However, this is the best weight bench under $200! It’s way below that actually, so if you were to just slightly increase your budget, this is a very good option. The only reason why this bench is not in our number one position is because it’s not under $100.

Another reason why we chose to include the Powerline bench in our list is because there are still a lot of flimsy weight benches for under $100. We didn’t want to put just any old cheap weight bench on here, we wanted only the best ones.

Marcy SB-261W Utility Bench – Best Inexpensive Weight Bench Under $50!

Can you believe that you can buy such a decent weight bench for under $50 from such a reputable brand. This is the cheapest weight bench on our list but still packs a punch! It’s also the lightest weighing on 27 lbs, which means it’s very easy to move it around to different areas.

Of course, we know the reality is that there are going to be some cons, but perhaps it’s not a deal breaker as it’s so affordable. This bench does not fold away flat so would take up more space when it’s not in use. In addition, the maximum incline position being only 70° means you’re slightly more limited with certain exercises.

Having said that, the reason why this weight bench ranks lower is because it’s not a versatile due to the positioning range.

We hope that you’ve found our best affordable weight bench guide useful. This is definitely a must have home gym equipment based on the price and functionality. Being able to buy a weight bench for such an affordable price is great but remember to take into account that you’ll probably need some weights too.

We recommend reading our guide on adjustable dumbbells vs fixed to see which of the two would be most suited to your needs. It can work out to be cheaper to buy fixed dumbbell sets but it all depends on how heavy and how many. Adjustable dumbbells will cost more but will have many different weight settings.

There are plenty of ways to make the most out of your weight bench, including buying a squat rack which essentially turns your adjustable weight bench into an Olympic weight bench. Perhaps it might be worth checking out our best home squat rack guide. We didn’t include any Olympic weight benches in our guide as these tend to be way over $200.
